Q2 results: the three growth stories of China, the US and Europe
This report is only available to signed in users.
China’s mobile industry has lost some of its momentum and is having to adjust to a new paradigm. Second quarter results were noteworthy for a marked drop in 4G subscriber growth in China as penetration plateaus. Combined with a weakening macro-economy and competitive and regulatory pressures, this resulted in a further slowdown in mobile service revenue growth.
Yet, on the whole, the country’s growth story remains the envy of most advanced mobile markets. We took the results as an opportunity to look at the growth dynamics of China, the US and Europe, and consider how they could play out.
