EV-DO passes 20 million

We recently reported that W-CDMA connections had passed 50 million in Q4 2005. As the Q4 results have come in we have identified that CDMA2000 EV-DO also achieved a notable milestone in the same period, passing 20 million connections. We now forecast that EV-DO will reach 34 million connections by the end of 2006, accounting for 56% of the net additions reported by the operators that currently run EV-DO networks.
