This dashboard, based on the GSMA Intelligence Consumers in Focus Survey December 2023, provides data on pay-TV and video services user behaviour. It serves as a valuable asset for companies looking to formulate or adjust their commercial strategies and plans for pay TV.

The dashboard provides data for 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 (drawn from the respective consumer surveys) across eight of the world’s largest pay-TV markets (China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, UK and US). Filters allow comparison of data for individual countries and for specific consumer segments (e.g. by age, income, type of pay-TV subscription and frequency of engagement in video services).

The dashboard covers topics including importance of factors when choosing a pay-TV service, reasons for stopping traditional pay-TV subscriptions, most popular online pay-TV subscription services, consumer engagement with video services on smartphones, and frequency of use of mobile data versus Wi-Fi when watching online TV or video on smartphones.
