During Q1 2006 connections to CDMA networks passed through the 300 million milestone. Even though CDMA net additions are near to their highest levels, the technology's share of the global cellular market continues to decline. Nevertheless, CDMA is maintaining its presence in its traditional geographies, with operators in key Asia Pacific and North American markets continuing to perform strongly. CDMA operators also continue to migrate their user bases to next-generation networks, with over 75% of the global CDMA community now connected to 1xRTT or 1xEV-DO networks.
