This report is available to those subscribed to the Mobile Operators and Networks module.
As of the end of August 2022, 28 operators had commercially launched 5G standalone (5G SA) in some or all of their 5G networks, while a further 94 had announced firm plans to do so. With 5G SA momentum set to gather pace, we took the opportunity to review what network capabilities or use cases operators highlight the most when they make public announcements on 5G SA network deployments. We reviewed the announcements of over half of the 5G SA operators to identify several clear trends, with a surprising lack of emphasis in some areas.
