Real MoU per user: real growth
In our recent reports detailing how multiple device ownership is affecting the core metrics that gauge industry performance, we have looked at 'real' penetration and 'real' ARPU in Western Europe. This report extends this analysis to cover 'real' minutes of use per user per month (MoU/user) and concludes that 'real' MoU/user in Western Europe increased by over 6% year-on-year in Q4 2005. This is somewhat higher than the 2% which is inferred from the reported MoU/user data, and exposes that although aggregate reported MoU/user has been relatively flat over the past 18 months, individuals in Western Europe have been increasing their usage steadily.
