EV-DO passes 50 million
During Q4 2006, connections to CDMA2000 1XEV-DO networks passed through the 50 million mark. Good growth has been exhibited over the past three years as the expected migration to EV-DO from cdmaOne and 1X gathers momentum. Asia Pacific has been the largest region, but we expect the US to edge ahead during 2007. We currently forecast EV-DO will reach 100 million connections during Q2 2008. In this report we look at the sources of growth and the rate of migration onto EV-DO.
