The last few years have been crucial for eSIM developments and commercialisation worldwide, with the technology moving towards mainstream. Apple’s launch of eSIM-only smartphones in September 2022 in the US was a major milestone for the industry, with an acceleration in operator eSIM deployments and commercial launches since then.
