Digital gaming is a popular pastime across all age groups, with engagement continuing to grow in recent years. 58% of adults play games on any device at least once per week. This dashboard, based on a consumer survey across eight of the world’s largest telecoms markets, provides data for consumer gaming behaviour, presented in a structured, easy-to-use format – a valuable asset for companies looking to devise their commercial strategies and plans for digital gaming.

The dashboard provides data for 2020, 2021 and 2022 (drawn from the respective consumer surveys). Filters allow comparison of data for individual countries and for specific consumer segments (e.g. age, spend on mobile services, smartphone brand and frequency of engagement in gaming). The dashboard covers a range of topics, including consumer gaming engagement, the state of smartphone gaming, gaming on consoles and XR devices, free versus paid-for gaming, adoption of gaming subscriptions, bundling gaming with mobile subscriptions, gaming as a 5G use case, live gaming (including e-sports) and gaming as a metaverse activity.
