Adoption of multiple SVOD services: will recent growth reach a plateau soon?

This report is available to those subscribed to the Fixed, TV and Convergence module.
GSMA Intelligence’s global consumer survey, across eight major countries (China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, the UK and the US), shows that over the past few years there has been an increase in the number of consumers subscribing to more than one subscription-video-on-demand (SVOD) service. This includes consumers subscribing to multiple global services (e.g. Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+), multiple local services (e.g. in China) or a mix of both global and local services. Against this backdrop, this report examines consumer behaviour with regard to adoption of multiple online TV services and the implications for ecosystem players.
