With 5G now here, we have some indication of how operators intend to charge consumers for 5G services, at least in the short term. However, as we move towards standalone 5G networks and as the content ecosystems for different applications develop, pricing structures will naturally evolve. At the recent 5G World event in London, there were a series of discussions providing insight into how 5G use cases could lend themselves to differentiated tariffs, and the likely monetisation models operators could employ.
