The enterprise metaverse (EM) involves applications that aim to enable enterprises to offer new products and services or to transform their current ways of working. In either case, this will be achieved through the use of immersion, AR, video, haptics, avatars and AI, among other technologies. Unlike the consumer metaverse (CM), the EM has enterprises and their workers as end users.

With several prominent players launching partnerships and products targeting the EM, it’s timely to identify emerging EM applications, explore their fit with the enterprise setting and see how the EM relates to other enabling technologies, particularly mobile networks.
