The Mobile Economy North America 2023
5G momentum continues to build in North America. By the end of 2030, there will be just under 450 million 5G connections in North America, equivalent to 91% of total mobile connections (excluding licensed cellular IoT). Underscoring the impact of mobile in the region, mobile technologies and services generated 4.3% of North America’s GDP in 2022, a contribution that amounted to $1.2 trillion of economic value added.
In addition to a range of technology, socioeconomic and financial datasets, including forecasts out to 2030, the Mobile Economy North America 2023 examines key trends across the mobile industry: the 5G monetisation imperative; the rise of generative AI; eSIM momentum; the importance of circularity; and fintech opportunities.
