China is by far the largest and most developed IoT market globally. Almost two-thirds of licenced cellular IoT connections reside in China, while enterprises in China show the highest rate of IoT adoption, with three quarters of businesses having already deployed IoT. Over the next six years, the enterprise sector will drive the bulk of growth in overall IoT connections and revenues. For China, this means yet more connections, more sophisticated deployments and a greater revenue opportunity. Here we highlight the specificity of Chinese enterprise requirements, and the role Chinese operators can play in this rapidly growing market.
