The Mobile Economy Latin America: laying the foundations for 5G

In this GSMA Thrive Latin America session, our GSMA Intelligence analysts will present key findings from the latest Mobile Economy report on the main trends shaping the mobile landscape in the Latin America region.
Some of the insights from the presentation include updates on the state of connectivity, mobile adoption, and mobile’s contribution to the regional economy. By 2025, 4G will account for more than two-thirds of total connections in Latin America and smartphone adoption is set to reach 80%. Meanwhile, 5G continues to gain momentum, with the launch of the first 5G services in the region. These achievements, underpinned by operators’ continued investment in network infrastructure, will deliver significant economic growth and social progress in Latin America.
